Anonymous Secure E-Voting Over a Network

چکیده
In this paper, we propose two new anonymous secure electronic voting schemes that protect the privacy of the voters and prevent double voting. These schemes do not require any special voting channel and the communications can occur entirely over existing networks such as the Internet. The proposed schemes are based on ElGamal digital signature algorithm and can be applied to elections in a variety of situations ranging from an election in a small organization to a country.

Yet another improvement over the Mu-Varadharajan e-voting protocol
In this paper we present a fully functional RSA/DSA-based e-voting protocol for online elections that corrects and improves a scheme previously proposed by LinHwang-Chang [I. Lin, M. Hwang, C. Chang, Security enhancement for anonymous secure e-voting over a network, Comput. Stand. Interfaces 25 (2) (2003) 131–139.]. We found that Lin-Hwang-Chang's scheme and a recent modification of it by Hwang...
متن کاملI&s Improved Anonymous Secure E-voting over a Network
In a democratic country voting is one of the most important activities. However, many eligible voters do not exercise their right simply because they do not want to visit a public booth where they can vote. In 1981, David Chaum first introduced the concept of electronic voting and attempted to overcome the problems associated with the traditional voting environment. Hereafter, Mu and Varadharaj...
متن کاملSecure E-voting Using Homomorphic Technology
Voting is one of the most important activities in a democratic society. In a traditional voting environment voting process sometimes becomes quite inconvenient due to the reluctance of certain voters to visit a polling booth to cast votes besides involving huge social and human resources. The development of computer networks and elaboration of cryptographic techniques facilitate the implementat...
متن کاملMaking Code Voting Secure Against Insider Threats Using Unconditionally Secure MIX Schemes and Human PSMT Protocols
Code voting was introduced by Chaum as a solution for using a possibly infected-by-malware device to cast a vote in an electronic voting application. Chaum’s work on code voting assumed voting codes are physically delivered to voters using the mail system, implicitly requiring to trust the mail system. This is not necessarily a valid assumption to make especially if the mail system cannot be tr...
متن کاملA Secure Anonymous E-Voting System based on Discrete Logarithm Problem
In this paper, we propose a practical and secure anonymous Internet voting protocol. This method integrates Internet reality and cryptology. Issues such as the kinds of “certificate authority” and “public proxy server” are integrated in our scheme to solve the Internet identification and anonymity problems. To combine and make up a series of ElGamal blind signature and secret sharing cryptosyst...
